The Egg Race

18 Mar 2018

The Coppetts Wood Egg Race – 28th March 2018

This year we will holding our annual Coppetts Wood Egg Race on Wednesday 28th March!

The idea is design something which will transport an egg the furthest distance possible. There are very strict rules – see overleaf – but your egg mobile can be as simple or complicated as you like as long as fits in with the rules. You could put the egg in something that rolls, try a zip wire, use lego or similar to make a vehicle etc – the ideas are endless! Parents can help but it should be the children’s work. The ‘egg mobiles’ should be made at home.

There will be 3 categories of prizes for each class –

- The egg mobile which travels the greatest distance
- The most beautifully decorated
- The most original design

We look forward to seeing your ‘egg mobiles’ on the  28th March.

RULES OF THE GREAT EGG RACE

  1. The egg must be hard boiled.
  1. The egg-mobile is to be designed and built out of school.
  1. As far as possible, the egg-mobile must be made without help from grown ups.
  1. You may work on your own, in a pair, group or family, but the egg-mobile may only be entered for one class race.
