Last week, Coppetts Wood supported British Science Week through a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) lessons and activities. Pupils were inspired and motivated to think scientifically and learn about STEM inventions, pioneers and innovations over time. It was lovely to see so many parents and carers at our STEM exhibition on Friday afternoon - pupils were excited to share their learning with you. Thank you for your support and positive feedback. Thank you also to Mrs Buki Haxhijaha for coordinating our Coppetts Wood science week and organising our STEM Exhibition.
I was lucky enough to attend the Barnet Dance Festival on Friday evening, to see our wonderful Year 6 pupils perform. They did themselves and our school very proud, performing in front of a packed audience at the artsdepot, Finchley.
Thank you children, for your commitment to learning and rehearsing the dance and for representing our school so well.

Thank you also to Helen Riezzo and Monica Whitehorn for their time and support in choreographing, organising and accompanying pupils on the day.
This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Monday's assembly slides focused on why and how we should celebrate our unique strengths, talents and differences and reminded everyone of the power they have to make a positive difference to someone who may be having a difficult time or facing a particular challenge. Pupils also learnt about some of the most common types of neurodiversity and some of the incredible, well-known people who are neurodivergent.
To support pupils with their understanding of neurodiversity and to remind them of the importance of being kind and accepting of others - as well as of themselves - take a look at these resources for parents and carers.
